I've been watching the classic episodes, and holy shit why didn't I watch this when I was younger? It's a shame most of the earlier episodes are missing. I was able to find the first and second stories, but couldn't find the third. So, I took the (highly il)logical step and went straight to the third doctor story, "Spearhead from Space". A few episodes later I ran into the same problem of being unable to find episodes, and so I jumped to the first episode featuring Sarah Jane Smith as a companion, and haven't had to skip an episode since. I'm only a few episodes into the Fourth Doctor at this point, and I'm hoping I'll be able to make my way to the 8th doctor by the end of summer, after which I'll try and track down the episodes I've missed.

Any other Doctor Who fans in here, or am I to be shunned?

I loved the old episodes, and I watched them in my younger days when they aired(usually on cable-only channels).

Do note that a large portion of the episodes were destroyed, as they didn't see the point in keeping them. But there are still a crapload around.

Fortunately some fans have made reconstructions of most of them. Shame though, wish they would've been able to see into the future and realize how big a loss it would be to lose those episodes.

Hold on to your hats everyone! Tom Baker is reprising his role as the fourth doctor in a new set of audio plays, set just before season 16, entitled "Hornet's Nest." Although he's not my favorite doctor, more Who is good Who.

Baker is the best who in the old series, and you know it!

I disagree, Hartnell was the best, not just because he was first but because of his character growth throughout the series, from crotchety old man to pretty cool guy. My doctor who awesome list is:
Hartnell > Pertwee > McGann > Baker > Tennant > Eccleston(note: I'm still catching up to Troughton, Davison, the other Baker, and McCoy.)

Tom Baker played the fourth Doctor, from 1974-1981, and is widely considered to be the most popular and iconic of the classic series Doctors, only surpassed in worldwide popularity by David Tennant in recent years.

Alex Kingston's been spotted on the set in Dunraven Bay(Where "Bad Wolf Bay" from recent episodes has been filmed, along with Matt Smith, Karen Gillian, two oblivious sunbathers, a Hartnell-tastic TARDIS, and, oddly enough, what appears to be a jet engine. Could this be the crash of the Byzantium(assuming it's some sort of ship) referenced by River Song in Silence of the Library?

Well, It looks to be the Byzantium for certain. It also seems we know how River Song got the Handcuffs. I'm assuming this is Earth, in a fairly modern time, considering the Danish flags on their outfits.
